Ticketmaster
I’ve spent the past 8+ years working as a product designer at Ticketmaster. During that time, I’ve had plenty of exposure to different parts of the business. Only small samples of projects are shown here, for more in depth insights on all the details, let’s connect!
presale sign up pages (H2 2024)
An experience dedicated to limiting the amount of traffic in to artist presales. Fans of the artist come here to indicate early on that they’d like to participate in the presale. Limiting the amount of selections they can make to a certain number, so not one person can try and get tickets to every show.
-
Tickets are always a highly sought after commodity. In the past we’ve had the site overflowing with people & bots trying to scoop up tickets. This is an effort to limit overall traffic to prioritize fans over bots , while also giving the artist and business expectations on the upcoming presale/onsale based on how many sign up. Giving engineering teams an idea in to the best ways to prepare for traffic influx.
-
We created a unique page to allow fans to pick and choose the events that they’d show interest in. Nearly all regular people will not try and attend all shows, so we’ve decided to cap all accounts to a max selection to their top events they’d like to attend.
When it comes to how it works, it’s simple. Select the events you’d like to purchase tickets for. Sign in to your Ticketmaster account. Get notified the day the presale is happening and join the queue.
-
Primary product design working on details of the experience and determining the easiest path for a fan to complete this task. Collaborating with engineering and product partners to solidify details on how a fan will easily understand this experience, while also improving the experience on the backend. So when it comes to clients creating these pages, it’s an easy to follow creation process.
ticketmaster business website (~2018)
A website dedicated to showcasing the client side of the ticketing business that Ticketmaster has to offer. This was a ground-up build of a fresh new website to showcase what’s offered when using Ticketmaster as your provider.
My role was working with a good sized team in laying out wireframes, explorations for design output + styling, and ultimately assisting in delivering final designs for the initial build.
fxt - Fan experience templates (2018 - 2020)
This was a long effort to design and build a structured template for a variety of unique pages that exist in the ticketing business. Creating reusable components and modules that would exist with variants across the few templates. This includes artist/team pages, category pages, venue pages, and city pages.
My role was heavily involved from initial discovery, explorations, wire-framing, research, component building + delivery, and detailing information for engineering to go to build.
Data Vault (2017)
While working as an intern, I was tasked with a small team to create a central hub for data & analytics for the company to share amongst teams and executives to understand the business better. The problem was there were too many ways to share information and no easy way to find what you were looking for.
My role was wire-framing and deciding the best navigation and structure to make it an easy experience to search, find, view, and read reports done by various areas of the business.
Passkeys (2025)
A new product feature to strengthen the security of an account, while also drastically improving sign in successfulness. Seeing a drastic improvement of sign in success rates of accounts using passkeys.
-
Ticketmaster was fresh of a data breach within the last year and sign in success rates were not where we wanted them to be. Introducing Passkeys was in efforts to improve both metrics at once and bringing the company further in to the future of authentication.
-
We followed the FIDO Alliance’s clear guidelines with how to implement and be successful with Passkeys early on. Creating a place to create + manage your passkeys and then also giving the clear way to use your passkeys once created.
Setting us up for the core basics for them to work well and then focus on improving the passkeys experience and drive more adoption across multiple channels.
-
My role in this project leaned in to doing a lot of the groundwork in research, discovery, and dictation on what the MVP output would be. Designing and creating a new security page for Ticketmaster to house passkeys and future additions to the marketplace.
Personal Projects + More
Not every project will showcase the full view of discovery, research, & process. If you’d like to learn more about that, let’s connect!
FlyEats (2022)
A conceptual food delivery and locater app for airports. Flying is already stressful, but finding some good food shouldn’t be.
Destiny Conquest (2014)
A conceptual match 3 style game to accompany the main console game Destiny. Some assets were borrowed from the main game to conceptualize this experience.
Street League App (2015)
A conceptual app to accompany the Street League competition. An app where you follow the competition + pros directly and check out their most recent clips, but also showcase your skills as you develop as a skater and gain a following!
XP (2016-2017)
A conceptual app that was ideated on and designed around a personal use case I had. A love for video games that sometimes created unhealthy habits in life. This app was focused on playing the games you already love, getting in shape, eating better, and earning rewards the entire time you’re doing it.
